Directions: Begin drinking the Symptom Relief Tea a day or two before you start your cycle, if possible, and then as long as needed. Use as needed for menopausal symptoms. Drink 1-3 cups per day until symptoms subside to help relieve discomforts of PMS, cramps, irregular periods, and menopausal symptoms.
1-2 tsp (depending on your preference and/or severity of symptoms) per cup of hot water steep 15 minutes. Add sweetener and favorite milk if you like.

About the Ingredients:
Black Cohosh Root (Cimicifuga racemosa) – also known as squawroot - sweet, pungent, slightly bitter, cooling. A mild sedative and pain reliever, relieves menstrual cramps, hot flashes/flushes, irritability, mood swings and sleep disturbances. Used for PMS, menstrual irregularities, uterine spasms and for reducing inflammation. It promotes menses when there's uterine tension, cramps, and congestion that hinder flow. Black cohosh relaxes the uterus, especially when tension is caused by anxiety. Not for use in pregnancy. For nervous agitation, feelings of heaviness, also used for kidney problems, rheumatic pains and nerve conditions.
Dong Quai (Angelica sinensis) warm, bitter, acrid, sweet, tonic, nourishing, and moistening. Dong quai works on the uterus, blood, and muscles. It is a uterine tonic, anti-spasmodic and blood purifier. Dong Quai is the main tonic for women in Chinese medicine used for almost every female gynecological ailment especially for cramps, irregularity, delayed flow, menopause, insomnia and hypertension. It regulates uterine contractions, eases bloating, soothes cramps, settles digestion, helps liver, contains calcium and zinc. It is good for anemia, low vitality and circulation in the abdomen. It is an invigorating tonic.
Crampbark (Viburnum opulus) bitter, neutral and drying. Supports lungs, heart, liver, small intestine, and reproductive system. Crampbark is anti-spasmodic, relaxant, a nervine. It relieves cramps, tension, spasms and eases uterine contractions. It is a muscle relaxant that has a tonic effect on the uterus. It strengthens the uterine muscle and is a pain reliever with nervine actions. It helps with nervousness, agitation, heart palpitations and circulation.
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita or Anthemis nobilis) - slightly sweet and bitter – calming, also good digestive, relaxes muscle spasms. The power of the small.
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) a bitter, liver tonic, which clears heat. Dandelion is known to be a detoxifying, diuretic and tonic. It helps support the liver to break down hormones so that they can pass out of the body easily and thus help maintain the balance of hormones in the body. It is beneficial to the digestive system especially in helping to break down fats. Both the leaf and the root can be used. Dandelion is highly nutritious and can be taken daily for long periods. Dandelion root provides vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin D and vitamin B complex, as well as zinc, iron and potassium. Lavender (Lavedula officinalis or angustifolia) soothing, relaxing, anti-spasmodic, anti-bacterial, helps relieve tension, headaches and aids sleep.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) uplifting while relaxing especially for overactive minds and emotions. Lemon balm has a nice body and lemony flavor, it's anti-spasmodic, and anti-viral.

Raspberry leaf is a nutritive tonic which strengthens the blood and tones the uterus. It is good for menstrual irregularities especially to help decrease frequent or excessive bleeding. It has often been used as a female tonic to alleviate menstrual discomfort and facilitate childbirth. Raspberry-leaf tea can be taken freely during the last three months of pregnancy and during breast feeding as it encourages the flow of mother's milk. Do not use in the early stages of pregnancy, it can cause uterine contractions.
