Tropical Massage Oil
Our basic tropical massage oil ingredients: Organic Extra Virgin Coconut oil, organic refined coconut oil, nutritious rice bran oil, healing macadamia nut oil and luxurious organic avocado oil.
- Organic Extra Virgin Unrefined Coconut Oil – has a mildly intoxicating scent of pure Coconut. It has a high nutritional value. Studies have found that virgin coco oil has natural anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Since it has gone through little processing it retains most of the phytonutrients that are naturally found in the raw, unprocessed coconut. These include antioxidants and phytosterols—which are known to have heart protective, anticancer, and other health promoting properties. Ayurvedic medicine has recognized the healing properties of coconut oil for over 4,000 years. It is even mild enough to be used as a baby oil. It gives softness and suppleness to skin with regular massaging and spreads easily on the skin. It lowers the evaporative loss of water from skin, penetrates easily and offers water absorbing properties to help keep the skin well hydrated.
- Organic Refined Coconut Oil - is a great oil for general moisturizing and serves as a protective layer helping to retain the moisture in your skin. It is a mild oil suitable for those with inflamed and irritated skin, and those with skin sensitivities. This particular oil is refined through organic methods involving deodorization, and the removal of color through the use of bleaching clays.
- Macadamia Nut Oil - has proven itself to be one of the best regenerative oils available. It closely resembles sebum (the oil naturally produced by our skin to help protect it). Macadamia oil is a protective oil with a high absorption rate and has been successfully used as a healing oil for scars, sunburns, minor wounds and other irritations.
- Organic Avocado Oil - an ultra rich oil containing high amounts of Vitamin A, B1, B2, D, and E. It also contains amino acids, sterols, pantothenic acid, lecithin, and other essential fatty acids which makes it highly prized by those with skin problems such as eczema, psoriasis, and other skin ailments. It is high in sterolins which are reputed to reduce age spots, help heal sun damage and scars.
Avocado oil is an ideal ingredient for people with dehydrated, sun or climate damaged skin, as it is an extremely good moisturizing and nourishing compound, assisting in the regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin. In a study done at the Department of Food Engineering and Biotechnology, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in 1991, it was found that avocado oil significantly increases the amount of collagen in the skin - which normally is under attack as we grow older. - Rice Bran Oil – is attributed to the beautiful complexion of women in Japan. For a long time, there has been a tradition in Japan that women rub rice bran oil on their face to keep their skin smooth. These women, having smooth and healthy skin, are called “Nuka-Bijin” (“Bran Beauty” in English). Rich in vitamins, minerals, proteins and essential oils, rice bran oil is also an excellent source of tocotrienol, an antioxidant with the potential to be much more powerful and effective than Vitamin E.
